Card

Well, I didn't have much time today as we are getting ready for New's Year Eve, but I did manage to whip off a little card. It is always good to have a variety of cards made for a moment's notice. This one is a birthday card. I made from a few scraps I had in my paper bin.

I used Perfectly Clear Stamps - Changito Bday stamps and then coloured them in with Copic Markers.

Happy New Year!

Back in the Game

So, I haven't exactly been successful in doing this blog thing, but I am back in the game! I am going to give it a go again! This time, it is going to be about the crafty things I am doing in my life, the places I visit and the most important people in my life ~ my family! Stay tuned...more to come!

Life

It has been a while. We had a very busy weekend, spent some time with the hubby skiing while the kids were in lessons, I smell a new ritual! Then we shared a yummy toasted cinnamon bun! It was delicious!
I just wanted to share a bit of what I've been up to. I just finished making a flap paper bag scrapbook (I am putting on a workshop for students).
Here is what it looks like:

That is the front cover.

These are the first pages. The green is a flap, and there is a back flap. The page with the flower has a spot for a tag.

This is the first tag. It is double sided, so there is a spot for a picture and journaling.

This is just a little envelope pocket. There is a small tag inside.

This is a multi-pocket I made it to go inside one of the ends of the bags. It has enough room to hold four tags. I thought it was cute!

Well, that is all I've been up to the last little while. Have a great one!

Pain In The Neck

So, I was hoping to post some pictures (and take some this weekend for that matter), but I woke up on Saturday with a horrible pain in the neck that has side lined me for the weekend. I managed to take the girls to a party (actually it was only Lauren, Hannah and I had our own hot chocolate party) while Adam had a day to himself with the boys on the lake! No fish luck though so we had pizza for dinner. I did manage to take a picture of a deer running down the street (there were 3 deer originally, but they got spooked and this is the picture I took).

Kit Kat Ice Cream

"Mommy! Guess what? Aunt Deb ate all of the Kit Kat ice cream!!" That was our conversation at the dinner table tonight. That's okay though, because ... Don't worry Aunt Deb, she understands :)

Hump day... just over half way done the week! Saw Fred on Ellen today doing his Wii moves...actually it was Richard Simmons. How much energy does he have!! If only we could all be so lucky!

Once in a Lifetime

Last night we braced the cold. We bustled up the kids in their warmest gear and headed on down to the harbourfront to watch the arrival of the Olympic Torch! It sure was cold (-17 degrees Celsius) but it was amazing to see. The Olympic Torch Relay team put on a great show, with painting, singing, and tons of enthusiasm in preparation for the torch. Afterwards, there was singing, interviewing the Torchbearer and then fireworks (we didn't make it to the fireworks, the kiddies feet were too cold!) The kids got to take their picture with Quatchi and Miga (2 of the Olympic mascots).

Taking the Plunge

Well I am taking the plunge. I have always wanted to start a blog, but never had the time nor the courage to do so. I didn't know what I was going to blog about, who would read, etc. But that day is over. Check it off my bucket list! This going to be a blog about my life.

Today is the last day of our winter vacation (I am a teacher) and it has been a great holiday! We had family visiting (my brother and sister-in-law) as well as my in-laws and it was great! We had tons of fun hiking, tobogganing, crafting, and swimming!

Here's what I've been up to lately. We are taking the kids (I have 2 daughters) to Disney World in March and I have decided to scrapbook an autograph book for each of them. I am using the Cricut Mickey and Friends, and Dreams Come True cartridges so far. Above is a picture of characters I've completed so far.

Cheers!
